I-Phone Features An Overview-II

The following are some of the features of I-Phone in continuation to my Previous post on I-Phone Technology an Overview.


Sensitive screen:

The screen is designed in such way that it reacts properly for the touch of bare skin of one or many fingers and not when the fingers are covered by the gloves. This is because the screen is capacitive to the bare skin and the interruption of glove blocks the necessary electrical activity. The screen emits light only when it is touched and a particular sensor stops the emission of light when it is brought near the face when we attend or make a call and prevents a disturbance for the user on call. Another sensor is integrated along the hardware to adjust the brightness of the light emitted from the kscreen. There is an accelerometer which turns the orientation of the mobile in full 360degrees according to the user enhancing its user friendliness.


Battery:

The batteries used in these iphones resemble those used in ipods and cannot be removed or replaced by the user. These batteries are replaced for free within warranty period by the apple care itself in case of any failure in the battery. But external replacements of batteries are available in recent years but the drawback is since these batteries are soldered while manufacturing it’s a bit hard to replace these batteries by external service providers so an additional amount is charged by them for replacements.


Other interesting features:

Apart from these peculiar features i phones include some general features like call holding, call merging, call conferencing etc. suppose a call is received when is song is playing the background in some media player the song fades out so gently when the call is being received and fades back so smoothly when the call is ended. Visual voice mail enhances to see the voice mail currently on the list in the screen itself. Ring tones can be customized when it has been fed into the mobile externally. Multimedia facility, email and text messages recovering features are other features which make i phones popular.


Even after so many advancements in mobile phone technology and communications in recent years, iphones has marked a permanent place in history and will remain as a heartthrob forever in the hearts of millions and millions of people in the world.
